Observational Drawing

Question 1: Observation Drawing

Draw an object you observe in front of you. Pay attention to its shape, proportion, scale and shades. You should not draw based on photographic reference i.e. copying from a photograph.

For this question, I decided to challenge myself and draw a tealight holder that I bought for Ikea as it was made of glass. I wanted to show my drawing abilities by drawing something difficult, but I should have been wary of choosing my object as it was pretty stupid to draw something that is not very recognisable, compared to like a water bottle or a mug. Nevertheless, it was a pretty ok drawing if I were to say so myself.
